Trust & safety requirements
Pros can sign up and complete a profile now. Grab-A-Mow must approve a completed background screening before quoting or selection. Current insurance covering every booked service must be verified before acceptance, payment, property-address access, travel, helping, or work. Stripe payout setup and homeowner payment must also be confirmed before paid work.
- Verified ID
- Grab-A-Mow approval of a completed background screening before accepting or working
- Stripe payout ready
- Current insurance verified for every service booked on the job
- Helpers registered, screened, insured for their booked services, linked to the job, and payout-ready before paid work
After Grab-A-Mow approves your completed background screening and separately verifies current insurance, a check mark for each reviewed item appears near your name or profile. The background mark includes the report completion date. An accepted Checkr Basic report has no annual recheck; its scheduled review point is five calendar years after completion. It is a point-in-time check, not ongoing monitoring. Uploading or purchasing either item does not create a check mark. These badges do not guarantee safety, conduct, work quality, or insurance coverage for a claim.
Required insurance for Grab-A-Mow jobs
Current lawn-care or landscaping-services general liability insurance is required before a selected pro or helper can accept, receive payment, view the property address, travel to, or work on a Grab-A-Mow job. Screened pros may quote while insurance is pending. The proof must cover every specific service booked, including shrub trimming, mulching, or hand weeding when selected.
Insurance is not a fee to apply, and you may create or edit your profile while proof is pending. Pros choose and pay providers directly. Screened pros may explore requests and quote while insurance proof is pending. Acceptance, payment, the property address, travel, helping, and work unlock only after Grab-A-Mow verifies current proof and the covered Grab-A-Mow services.
A mower can throw a hidden rock through a window, a trimmer can damage siding or irrigation, and snow removal can involve slips or damage to pavement, landscaping, or parked vehicles. Ask the provider or agent whether each service you perform is covered and review exclusions, limits, and deductibles. A Grab-A-Mow insurance check mark is a document-review status, not a guarantee that a carrier will pay a particular claim.
Grab-A-Mow does not sell insurance, act as an insurance broker or agent, provide insurance advice, or guarantee any policy. Coverage, eligibility, cost, and availability are determined by each provider and state law. Some insurance links are affiliate links and may support Grab-A-Mow at no extra cost to the pro.
Optional pro gear
Grab-A-Mow shirts, collared polos, hats, sweatshirts, and hoodies are available for pros and crews who want a clean, recognizable job-site look.
Gear is optional and does not replace insurance, background checks, licensing, safe work, or professional conduct.
Pros can use Tax & earnings to track yearly Grab-A-Mow payout estimates. Final tax forms should be reconciled with Stripe Connect records and a tax professional.
